The Common Ground Music & Art Festival is a three-day, community-centered celebration of music, art, culture, and connection, taking place August 28th, 29th & 30th at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. Designed as a free and family-friendly event, Common Ground brings together regional and touring artists, local creatives, small businesses, and families from across Western Colorado for a weekend that reflects the heart and future of our community.
At its core, Common Ground is about creating shared space, where different generations, cultures, and backgrounds can gather around something positive. The festival is intentionally built around unity, accessibility, and local pride.
Friday evening will launch the weekend with live performances that energize the community and set the tone. Saturday will feature a full day of music, art activations, a curated vendor marketplace, food trucks, a beer garden, youth performances, and a regional or national headlining act designed to increase regional attendance and encourage overnight stays. Sunday will close the weekend with a strong community focus, including a car show, local performances, and family-centered programming.
